Vietnam police detain captain after speedboat capsizing kills 15 Indian tourists
Authorities are investigating possible safety violations as the Indian Embassy begins repatriating the victims’ bodies and 16 survivors head home.
- On Saturday, a speedboat carrying 32 Indian tourists and four crew members capsized about 400 metres off Hon May Rut Ngoai Island near Phu Quoc, killing 15 Indian Nationals.

- Mortal remains of the 15 Indian Nationals reached Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday for repatriation, while 16 of the 17 rescued tourists are traveling home and one remains hospitalized in critical condition in Phu Quoc.
