The Orioles informed reporters that outfielder/first baseman Cooper Hummel elected free agency after going unclaimed on outright waivers. He’d been designated for assignment on Monday when the O’s called up Chadwick Tromp. Hummel spent a grand total of one day on Baltimore’s active roster.
