Quick response limited fire damage to a car in a townhouse complex in the 100 block of Haig Road in east end Belleville Friday evening. At around 6 p.m. firefighters were called after reports a car was on fire inside of the attached garage of one of the units. Flames were doused in minutes but there was smoke damage throughout the home. No one was injured and the cause is under investigation. (Photos: submitted)

A quick response by Belleville Firefighters helped limit the damage after a car burst into flames inside a garage on the east end of the city on Friday night. The call came in about a car on fire in an attached garage of a townhouse complex in the 100 block of Haig Road around 6 pm.
