The Dutch bus manufacturer VDL and the German trailer manufacturer Schmitz Cargobull are jointly taking over the bankrupt Belgian bus factory Van Hool permanently. The Belgian company's curators have reached an agreement in principle with both parties, a Van Hool spokesperson reported on Wednesday evening.
The Belgian bus company Van Hool finally comes into the hands of the Eindhoven rival VDL Groep. They take over the remaining assets of the bankrupt company together with the German Schmitz Cargobull.
