UNCW names Burrus provost, begins business school dean search

Robert Burrus has been named provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at UNC Wilmington following a national search. Burrus, a longtime faculty member and former Cameron School of Business dean, had served as interim provost since July 2025. The university will now launch a national search for a permanent business school dean.

Costa-Mesa-based Vanguard University has appointed Ismael López Medel as permanent dean of the Patty Arvielo School of Business and Management.
