Vance Leasing Part of Multimillion-Dollar Virginia Farm as an Additional Residence
The rental will give Vance’s wife and three children more privacy while the family keeps its official residence at the Naval Observatory.
Vice President JD Vance is leasing part of Wolver Hill Farm in Middleburg, Virginia, as a private retreat for his wife, Usha, and their three children.
Wolver Hill Farm is owned by a firm led by Charles Kuhn, whose moving company has relocated several presidents, including President Donald Trump, into the White House.
Middleburg has long hosted presidential retreats; Former President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy built their Wexford estate there, while Nancy Reagan later rented nearby during a campaign.
The Secret Service is providing security measures for the new residence, though the rental will not replace Vance's official home at the Naval Observatory in Washington.
Vance's attorney, Chris Ashby, stated the vice president will pay fair market value for the lease, as the family seeks normalcy in the town of under 1,000 residents, roughly 40 miles from Washington.
