METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES, JUL 30 – The partnership aims to accelerate EV adoption and green mobility by deploying charging stations and electric taxis, supporting the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act.
- Recently, V-Green, Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Co., and Meralco signed an MoU to develop EV infrastructure in the Philippines.
- Manila Electric Company said it aims to support the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act and the country’s shift toward cleaner transport.
- Under the agreement, V-Green, Green GSM Philippines, and Meralco will co-develop solar solutions for EV stations, share expertise, and support workforce training.
- Under the MOU, V-Green and Green GSM Philippines will deploy electric taxi services and develop a public charging station network, promoting EV infrastructure in the Philippines.
- Looking ahead, V-Green CEO Luu Viet Hung said, `charging stations will become standard across Filipino real estate within five years` after managing over 150,000 ports in Vietnam.
