Donald Trump's Strong Appeal. Marco Rubio Passed It On to Russia

The US State Department reported that a conversation had taken place between the heads of American and Russian diplomacy. Both sides published their statements on the matter.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and conveyed President Donald Trump's appeal for an immediate ceasefire, the State Department reported. The Russian side also published its statement. Rubio also discussed Ukraine with Vatican officials.
