US offers new talks format including Russia and Ukraine, Zelenskyy says
The US proposed a trilateral peace talks format involving Ukraine, Russia, and Europe to revive negotiations after six months without direct talks, aiming to end the nearly four-year conflict.
- On Dec 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Washington proposed the first face-to-face Ukraine–Russia talks in half a year as diplomats converged on Miami, Florida.
