US, Canada and Finland look to build more icebreakers to counter Russia in the Arctic
The United States, Canada, and Finland will collaborate to enhance their icebreaker fleets to strengthen defenses in the Arctic, as announced by the White House.
The NATO summit pact promotes information sharing on icebreaker production and supports allies in purchasing from American, Finnish, or Canadian shipyards.
Daleep Singh stated this collaboration aims to show adversaries Russia and China that the U.S. and allies will "doggedly pursue collaboration on industrial policy" for a competitive edge.
