United States: in Texas, Mexican businesses hit hard by customs surcharges
Apart from China, which is the target of a total trade war, the White House has been forced to suspend certain taxes on foreign products. Exceptions have been granted for Canadian and Mexican goods. However, for the rest, a 25% surtax remains in effect – with immediate economic repercussions. In Houston, Texas, Latin American businesses, dependent on Mexican imports, are directly affected.
