Unexploded ordnance found in Sunland Park, residents told to avoid Westside Drive area

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (KVIA) -- The Sunland Park Police Department said residents should avoid the Westside Drive area between Country Club Road and Tierra Vista Lane Tuesday. Police said someone found an unexploded ordnance in the area Monday. Police said the ordnance may have been buried for several years, according to preliminary information. El Paso police are helping Sunland Park police since it was found on the Texas side of the state border.…
