The Mi-24 helicopter of the Belarusian air force destroyed a Russian impact drone, the Herbera type, flying towards Ukraine, wrote Ukrainian media with reference to intelligence, and the drone wreckage fell in the Gomel region.
The helicopter was dispatched to monitor Belarusian airspace. While conducting the mission, it encountered a Russian drone heading towards Ukraine. The drone was a Gerber decoy used to distract Ukrainian air defense forces.
The Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) has drawn attention to an unusual incident, as they claim that Belarus' air defenses shot down a Russian attack drone in its own airspace during a weekend attack on Ukraine.
