Uneventful Mother-Son Drama with Agnès Jaoui Fails to Engage

A comedy-drama in which Agnès Jaoui plays a bipolar woman who escapes from a mental hospital to spend time with her son Pierre. But despite a promising theme, the film remains in a gray middle ground – neither truly comic nor deeply moving enough to really engage, according to Wanda Bendjelloul.
