In August, 367,120 people were registered as unemployed or in training in the labour market service.
The number of persons registered as unemployed at the AMS Vienna increased by 4.8 percent year-on-year in August. The unemployment rate, including the training participants, rose by 3.5 percent. It again affects young and older people the most.
Despite a weak economic environment, the Austrian labour market splits in August 2025. While employment in employment is increasing slightly, unemployment remains at a high level.
