Unemployment Down Across State
First time filings for unemployment are decreasing across Pennsylvania. That’s according to the U.S. Department of Labor, which says for the week ending January 17th, there were more than 14-thousand first time filings in the state. That number is down by nearly five-thousand filings compared to the week prior. Nationally, there was an increase in the number of initial filings for the week.
