'Mr Europa League' Unai Emery Into yet Another Final
Unai Emery reached his sixth Europa League final after Aston Villa erased a 1-0 deficit and won 4-1 on aggregate, seeking a fifth title.
On Thursday, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery led his side to the Europa League final after defeating Nottingham Forest 4-1 on aggregate at Villa Park, securing a trip to Istanbul on May 20.
Known as "Mr Europa League," the 54-year-old Spaniard booked his sixth final appearance as a manager, having previously won the tournament three times with Sevilla and once with Villarreal.
Ollie Watkins leveled the aggregate score in the 36th minute before Emi Buendia and John McGinn's double sealed victory, while Forest, playing without Morgan Gibbs-White, failed to capitalize on their first-leg advantage.
The Prince of Wales attended the match and joined celebrations inside the dressing room afterwards, marking Villa's first European final appearance in 44 years.
Villa now prepares to face German side Freiburg in the final, as Emery must focus on upcoming Premier League matches to secure a Champions League position for next season.
