Geneva. Experts of the United Nations (UN) denounced that the attempts to destabilize the United States against Cuba, through threats and coercion, recall the practices of the colonial era, in a statement released yesterday. They asserted that the threats of the U.S. President, Donald Trump, about “the honor of taking Cuba” represent a strategy of coercion that is deeply worrying.
They reaffirmed that the announcement of the deployment of USS Nimitz to the south of the Caribbean highlights an additional element of unlawful coercion, which contravenes articles 2(4) and 2(7) of the Charter of the United Nations
