On Sunday afternoon, Barkley Marathons finisher Karel Sabbe was warmly welcomed by friends and family in Vichte, after setting foot on Belgian soil again in Zaventem two hours earlier. The ultra-runner enjoyed the reunion and was secretly longing for his own bed. On Monday, the dentist will restart his daily routine, although walking from Anzegem to the practice in Ronse is not possible for the time being.
