Ultima Genomics Major Sequencing Award for Singapore's National Precision Medicine (NPM) Program Phase III
The award expands Singapore’s sequencing capacity for clinical and genomic research, supporting a national precision medicine program that aims to improve care.
On Monday, November 2, 2026, Ultima Genomics announced its UG200 Sequencing Platform was selected for the SG-INSIGHT study, a cohort under Phase III of Singapore's National Precision Medicine program.
The NPM program operates as a national initiative focused on advancing the integration of genomics into clinical workflows and healthcare delivery across Singapore's public health clusters.
Collaborating with Lucence, a Singapore-based precision medicine leader, and QIAGEN, a global provider of Sample to Insight solutions, Ultima will support the study.
This selection follows advancements including the February 2026 launch of the UG200 platform and Solaris 2.0 chemistry, which enable high-quality, large-scale, and low-cost whole genome sequencing.
The project aims to establish a sustainable genomics ecosystem for Singapore, generating evidence to support the rollout of genetic screening and future clinical applications.
