Ukraine says it hit a key fuel pipeline near Moscow that supplies Russian forces

  • On November 1, Ukraine's military intelligence confirmed explosions struck the Koltsovoy pipeline, a 400-kilometer network, on the evening of October 31 in the Ramensky district near Moscow.
  • A covert special operation carried out by HUR and SBU achieved a `100% successful strike`, SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk said, personally overseen by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
  • All three transport lines were successfully and simultaneously destroyed despite anti-drone defenses and armed security, HUR reported.
  • Russian emergency and security services arrived soon after the explosions, but the damage has left the infrastructure inoperable, disrupting the critical link to refineries and military storage facilities.
  • The pipeline's annual capacity shows its scale: it supplied fuel from refineries in Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow with 3 million, 2.8 million, and 1.6 million tons capacity.
