Kyiv is taking further steps to strengthen its defense capabilities. During an official visit to Poland, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha announced that Ukraine has requested a €120 million loan from the Polish government. The funds would be used to purchase Polish-made military equipment, including Piorun launchers and Krab howitzers.
Ukraine is in negotiations with Poland on the possibility of obtaining a $130 million loan for the purchase of products from the Polish defence industry.
