The emergency reception center for asylum seekers in Uithuizen, part of the Groningen municipality of Het Hogeland, will remain open longer. The location in North Groningen, with capacity for 250 people, was originally scheduled to close on September 1. However, due to the nationwide shortage of reception places, the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) is unable to accommodate the residents anywhere else.
The emergency reception location of the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) on Dingeweg in Uithuizen will once again remain open longer than agreed.
