Uganda: Teacher Killed, Dozens of Students Injured in Train-Bus Collision At Mukono Railway Crossing
MUKONO: One teacher was killed and several students injured on Friday morning after a passenger train collided with a bus carrying Mwebaza High School students on a study trip to Jinja at the Namumira railway crossing in Mukono Municipality.
A school bus was involved in a serious accident after attempting to cross the tracks before an oncoming train. The bus failed to clear the tracks and was struck from behind by the locomotive. According to local authorities, the collision resulted in one fatality and several injuries. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
A school bus was hit by a train on the way to an excursion. The Ministry of Transportation is already investigating the causes of the crash.
