Uganda remains in the grip of severe political tensions following the recent election, with reports of around 800 arrests nationwide. Security forces have also been accused of killing people and carrying out abductions. The opposition leader has condemned the government’s actions, accusing the authorities of spreading fear to silence dissent. Juliette Montilly reports.
