Tyler Reddick Makes NASCAR History at COTA with 3rd Straight Win to Start the Season
Tyler Reddick led 58 laps to become the first NASCAR Cup Series driver to win the first three races of the 2026 season, extending his points lead significantly.
- At the Circuit of the Americas, Reddick crossed the line first, holding off Shane van Gisbergen to secure his third consecutive NASCAR Cup win yesterday.
- From pole position, Reddick set the tempo by leading a race-high 58 of 95 laps in the 96-lap race, building momentum after wins at the Daytona 500 and EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta last week.
- On-Track incidents also affected contenders late in the race, as van Gisbergen pressured Reddick but fell back over the final six laps, and Zilisch was spun on a restart with 16 laps to go.
- The win vaulted Reddick into a commanding points lead, already more than a full race to second and more than 100 points to the Chase cutline, while Michael Jordan celebrated with the 23XI Racing pit crew and Reddick said `It means the world`.
- The series now heads to Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, March 8, where Reddick will try to extend his streak despite two finishes in the 20s there last year, further cementing 23XI Racing ownership group's momentum.
