Two Dead After Crash In Mercedes – 710am KURV
Investigators say two women have died after a crash in Mercedes. The crash happened Tuesday near the intersection of FM-491 and Mile Nine Road. A white Buick was reportedly trying to pass four cars when it crashed head-on into a blue Ford Maverick. The driver of the Buick and a passenger in the Ford died, and two other people were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The vehicle accident was recorded at FM 491 on Mile 9, in the city of Mercedes. According to Mercedes police lieutenant Jesús Rodríguez, the possible cause of the accident was that the white Buick was trying to pass in the opposite lane, which would have caused the frontal impact between the two units.
