Two West Virginia National Guard members were critically wounded in a targeted shooting near the White House, with over 2,300 Guard troops deployed in the capital, officials said.
- On Nov. 26, 2025, two National Guard members were shot near Farragut Square Park, and one suspect was also shot, taken into custody, and hospitalized; officials said the guardsmen are in critical condition.
