Two San Jose Sharks prospects invited to Canada’s World Juniors training camp

On Dec. 8, 2025, San Jose Sharks prospects Michael Misa and Josh Ravensbergen were two of the 27 players named to Hockey Canada's National Junior Team training camp, placing them in contention for the IIHF World Junior Championships.
Based on their draft positions and form, Michael Misa, taken second overall in June, scored 134 points with Saginaw Spirit, while Josh Ravensbergen, drafted 30th overall, won eight of 10 WHL starts with a.940 save percentage.
Coach Dale Hunter cautioned that Michael Misa has progressed from a Nov. 5 ankle sprain, is now on a conditioning assignment with the San Jose Barracuda, but `I think it's important that ourselves and the players don't get ahead of themselves`.
The Sharks' permission and Dickinson's availability mean they were undecided on loaning Sam Dickinson, while Allan Millar said camp will cut a forward, defenceman, and goalie by Dec. 22.
Looking toward opening night, Canada will play Sweden in exhibition games on Dec. 17 and Dec. 20 before opening the tournament on Dec. 26 against Czechia at 3M Arena in Minneapolis.
