Images from the scene showed the white clubhouse covered in slashes of red paint, with holes and clumps of soil covering the grass of the golf course. It is understood that a protest group later claimed responsibility for the act.

An Oban pair were arrested following an attack on the Trump Turnberry golf course. A 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were arrested.
