Two Irish Karate champions for local clubs - County Down Spectator

LOCAL athletes were among the medals at the recent Karate Ireland All–Ireland Open Championships, held in the SETU Arena in Waterford. Helena Stitt, from Bangor, outclassed the field in her individual kumite (sparring) event, which included a 5-0 victory in her final fight.
