Two IRGC Members Killed in Paveh Shooting, State Media Says
State television said two other Guards were wounded and authorities are investigating who carried out the attack.
On Tuesday, attackers shot dead two members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards at their home in Paveh, near the Iraq border, state media reported.
State television claimed the attack "was carried out by Zionist-American mercenaries," a term officials frequently use for separatist groups linked to the United States and Israel.
The assault, described as a "terrorist and cowardly act," left two other Guards wounded, while authorities said "exact details of this incident" are under review.
Separately, a family's vehicle was sprayed with bullets on Monday in the southeastern town of Saravan in Sistan-Baluchistan province, killing both the father and mother.
Sistan-Baluchistan, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan, remains volatile as home to a sizeable ethnic Baloch population, where Sunni Muslims face tensions within the Shiite-majority nation.
Two members of the paramilitary Iranian Revolutionary Guard were killed and two were wounded in an attack in Kermanshah province in the west of Iran, local media reported today.
