Two File for Two Open Seats on Milton Council - Certification on Thursday
The filing deadline for the Milton municipal election was last Tuesday. There were two seats open and town officials say two candidates filed for those seats. Incumbent Scotty Elder and Perry Higgs. Randi Meredith did not run for re-election. The Board of Elections will meet on Thursday to certify the candidates and once that is completed they will be declared the winners. They will be sworn into office at the April 6 council meeting.
