A serious work-related accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Očelice in the Rychnov region. Two fitters fell from a platform while constructing an electrical line. Rescuers transported them by helicopter and ambulance to the Hradec Králové University Hospital. The 26-year-old man died in hospital, while the 45-year-old man suffered serious injuries. The case is being investigated by criminal investigators.

Near Očelice in the Rychnov region on Thursday around five in the afternoon, two fitters fell from a high-voltage pole. One man was resuscitated by paramedics, the other suffered a pelvic injury. Both injured paramedics were transported to the Hradec Králové University Hospital. The paramedics reported this on the X network. Police spokeswoman Šárka Pižlová told ČTK that it was likely an occupational injury.
