Two adventurous students become youngest duo to complete Yukon 1000 challenge for charity
The pair raised around £13,000 for Sue Ryder and Race Against Dementia after completing the world’s longest paddle race in memory of their grandparents.
Oliver Smee, 20, from Henley-on-Thames, and Benjamin Watkins, 20, from Bourne End in Buckinghamshire, completed the Yukon 1000 over the summer - a 1,000-mile ultramarathon widely regarded as the longest paddle race in the world.
