Trump Will Rally in Kansas and Iowa After Initially Canceling Weekend Trips Before Midterms
The reversal comes as Trump adds dozens of tele-rallies to his schedule and campaigns for Republican Senate candidates in two tight Midwestern races.
On Sunday, President Donald Trump will visit Iowa and Kansas for back-to-back campaign rallies, rescheduling events he previously canceled.
The Republican National Committee announced Thursday a '72-hour sprint' of telerallies planned for nearly 20 states to maximize nationwide voter reach.
As of Thursday, Trump had completed 25 campaign rallies during October, falling short of his goal to hold more than 30 events.
Officials familiar with the plans stated the Iowa and Kansas in-person rallies were rearranged to accommodate the new telerally schedule.
This reversal marks an abrupt shift from Trump's pledge to galvanize supporters by conducting in-person events through the final campaign days.
