Trump, Kushner Unveil $25B Plan to Rebuild Gaza at Davos

On January 22, Jared Kushner unveiled a U.S.-led master plan for Gaza at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, proposing at least $25 billion to rebuild infrastructure under the Board of Peace.
The proposal conditions rebuilding on verified demilitarization with armed groups handing over arsenals in stages, while all militant groups and security forces undergo vetting to integrate or dismantle under the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, Kushner said.
The plan details include a new seaport, airport, freight rail, industrial zones, and 180 towers for coastal tourism, with development in six phases starting in Rafah and Khan Yunis, where rebuilding takes two to three years.
In the next 100 days, Kushner pledged to focus on humanitarian needs while U.S. officials plan a Washington investment conference in a couple of weeks despite only 20 of the 60 invited countries attending Davos.
Over the long term, planners aim to raise Gaza's GDP to more than $10 billion and household income to more than $13,000, while the Board of Peace has no Palestinian members and sells $1 billion memberships.
