Colorado Schools Will Get Remaining $66 Million After Trump Administration Unfreezes Education Funds

EL PASO COUNTY, TEXAS, JUL 29 – The Trump administration reversed a freeze on over $5 billion in federal education grants nationwide after political pressure, restoring more than $19 million to El Paso County schools, officials said.

After nearly a month of waiting for funds that were promised in the spring, the remaining $66 million in federal education grants previously frozen by the Trump administration will be released to Colorado schools.
