The all-electric estate concept features active aerodynamics and Opel’s new Vizor face as the brand signals a bolder design direction.
- On Monday, October 12, 2026, Opel unveiled the Sports Tourer eXperimental concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, previewing future Astra Sports Tourer styling and design language.
- Opel's estate lineage traces to the 1953 Olympia Rekord Caravan, and the STX features a prominent Vizor fascia intentionally challenging industry trends toward slimmed-down electric vehicle front ends.
- Capable of speeds exceeding 124 mph, the electric all-wheel-drive concept uses active aerodynamic diffusers that protrude at optimal speeds to boost efficiency and reduce drag.
- The STX is described as a design study rather than a confirmed production model, with a related production vehicle expected to arrive in 2027.
- Parent company Stellantis presented nine new concepts at the event, with the STX reflecting Opel's effort to maintain brand identity as traditional estate vehicles become increasingly rare globally.
