Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to Score 'Cliff Booth' Spin-Off Movie
The duo’s sixth collaboration with Fincher follows their Oscar-winning score for The Social Network and arrives with a two-week IMAX run.
On Monday, Netflix confirmed that composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are reuniting with director David Fincher to score The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, marking their sixth collaboration.
The film, a spin-off of the 2019 movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, features Brad Pitt reprising his role as the stuntman Booth, with direction by Fincher and a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino arriving in cinemas on November 25.
Reznor and Ross first teamed with Fincher for 2010's The Social Network, which won an Academy Award for Best Original Score, and have since scored all his subsequent films including Gone Girl and Mank.
Fincher revealed that Tarantino's original draft "was essentially two movies," requiring him to cut 60 pages to achieve a two hours and 20 minutes runtime before the feature streams on Netflix beginning December 23.
Expanding the film's universe, Tarantino will release a novelization of the Booth-centered story on December 8, serving as a literary follow-up to the 2021 work Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: A Novel.
