EastEnders star lands exciting new role 1 year after exit from popular BBC soap
The former EastEnders star appears with Mariah Carey in Gucci’s holiday campaign, which uses her 1994 hit and hotel staff to stage the arrival.
Former EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has landed a role in Gucci's Christmas campaign alongside Grammy-winning singer Mariah Carey. The festive advert features Carey's iconic 1994 hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," as staff transform a venue for her arrival.
The 23-year-old actor, known for playing Freddie Slater on the BBC soap, left the show in December 2025 to pursue new career opportunities. Brazier, the son of Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier, previously spoke about enjoying his final months on the program.
Earlier this year, Brazier revealed plans to move to the United States, specifically New York and New Jersey. However, his father, Jeff, confirmed in September that he had returned to the UK, sharing family photos to mark his homecoming.
In the campaign, Brazier is seen among guests enjoying the celebration as Carey joins the party. The actor, who won a National Television Award for Rising Star in 2023, reflected on his success, saying, "I've been lucky."
This Gucci commercial precedes the release of the 2026 John Lewis Christmas advert, titled "Gloria and Pickles," carrying the tagline "Don't give up on giving." The timing reflects competitive holiday marketing as both luxury and retail brands launch festive campaigns.
