Due to the numerous emergency situations, which in themselves cause serious disruption, the Budapest Regional Directorate of the MÁV group has declared the capital and the Balaton region an area affected by a railway disaster, Mávinform informed MTI on Monday, adding that the railway restoration will be extended to Tuesday; those who can should plan their trip by Volán bus or postpone it until later.

Due to the storm that passed through on Monday, the capital and Lake Balaton region were declared a rail disaster area by MÁV. Although order has been restored on most of the railway lines, there are still places where traffic is still disrupted.
