FGC unveils first Alstom-built train for new Barcelona–Airport line
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) has presented the first of ten new electric trains that will serve the future Barcelona–Airport line, a key project aimed at strengthening the region’s public transport network. The presentation took place at Alstom’s industrial site in Santa Perpètu
The R-Aeroport line will enter into operation between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027 and will connect the center of Barcelona with T1 in 20 minutes.
The presentation of the first electric convoy of the new railway line to the airport of Barcelona will take place this Friday at the factory of Alstom de Santa Perpètua de Mogoda just when they have been fulfilled in 2025 the 50 years of the arrival of the train to the airfield Josep Tarradellas BarcelonaEl Prat.
