Traffic Restrictions in Place as Emperor, Empress and Princess Aiko Visit Okinawa; Prefectural Police to Inspect Baggage Along the Roads on June 4th and 5th [Map Available]

The Okinawa Prefectural Police will implement traffic restrictions on June 4th and 5th to coincide with the visit of the Emperor and Empress to Okinawa. Baggage inspections and metal detectors will be used to check visitors along the route. The police are expected to be as prepared as they are for VIPs on Memorial Day, but with support from other prefectural police forces, it will be the largest scale of security in the prefecture.
