Man Caught at 158 km/h on TCH Loses License, Vehicle

A man who was in an awful hurry yesterday to get somewhere will be walking today. The RNC clocked him going 158 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the TCH near Thomas Pond at 3:00 in the afternoon. The 37-year-old was ticketed for driving more than 51 km/h over the speed limit. His driver’s license was seized and the car was impounded.

A motorist had to surrender his driver's license to officers of the Zeeland-West-Brabant traffic police on Saturday morning. The Mercedes in which the driver was driving caught the attention of the officers because he was constantly tailgating, overtaking on the right and driving much too fast where possible. At the Empel junction, the speed measurement came to 163 kilometers per hour.
