After head butt in Madison final: track cyclist Van Schip disqualified

At the Madison track cycling final on Saturday, there was an incident in which Dutchman Jan Willem van Schip headbutted his British opponent Oliver Wood. Van Schip has now been disqualified for this action retrospectively.

Track riders Jan-Willem van Schip and Yoeri Havik were removed from the results of the couple race at the Olympics. Later in the evening after the race in which the Dutch couple finished seventh, the jury determined that Van Schip had committed criminal conduct.
