LYNCHBURG, VA – The Patriots capped the Liberty Kickoff with a strong second day of competition on Friday, highlighted by a school record and three national standards from the sprint group, along with solid finishes in the final stages of the heptathlon.

Track & Field Shatters Multiple School Records to Begin Season at Liberty Kickoff

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The only thing that might've slowed down the Radford men's and women's track & field programs was the delay to begin day two of action, after several inches of snow fell across Virginia last night. Once the action began, the Highlanders broke a pair of school records and performed extremely well across the board to begin the indoor track & field season.

LYNCHBURG, VA. – Junior Sasha Gregory made program history as the Charlotte track and field team opened the 2025-26 indoor season at the Liberty Kickoff Combined Events meet on Dec. 4th and Dec. 5, setting a new high mark in the pentathlon on her way to winning to event. On the men's side, Connor Wetherington and Joshua Horstmann both climbed up the all-time top five with their respective results in the heptathlon.
