SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C.– Two aerialists in Surfside Beach are now facing backlash for performing stunts under a pier. According to a police report, a town employee approached the pair mid-routine and threatened to “cut the straps holding them up.” Town officials are now working on an ordinance that could ground them for good. Officials say the policies are designed to limit liability for the town in the event of an accident.
