Town council accepts apology but refuses Port Elgin rezoning application

Port Elgin property owner Scott Mitchell is “sorry” he didn’t apply for a Building Permit to convert a garage into an accessory apartment unit, and while several Saugeen Shores councillors appreciated his apology and promise to never do it again, they defeated a staff recommendation to  approve a rezoning request to allow two additional residential units on this property.
