A tornado watch has been canceled for parts of the Chicago area, but thunderstorms could linger overnight. That watch had included LaSalle, Grundy and Kankakee counties, but was canceled shortly before 11 p.m., well before it’s scheduled 4 a.m. expiration time, according to the National Weather Service.
